A day in the life of this indie author

It's funny, I saw TikTok videos on NaNoWriMo and how writers after a certain point throw away what they decided to write and write something completely different. And of course, I thought: that will not happen to me, my story is solid... Yeah... not so much. So here I am throwing away what I thought I was writing and starting on a completely different story. Am I crazy? I don't think so, even though we are already twelve days into NaNoWriMo I think it can be done.

I also had to cut down on my grocery list this month and I am now making a lot of things from scratch. Like gluten-free/vegan bread. Buying one gluten-free bread here now costs 10 dollars... So I have been trying to bake different breads until I found one that I can make without breaking the bank that also is nutritious and easy to make. It is actually working very well, I also boiled the chickpeas that I put in the water yesterday to get aqua faba to make vegan mayonnaise which is also about 8 dollars in the store for a tiny jar.

And I decided to make vegan milk from scratch and try to find a good and easy recipe to make coffee milk that doesn't suck. I am still looking for that. Prices for allergy food here in Norway have doubled in the last year and it forced me to change my cooking and buying habits drastically. The good thing is that it also teaches me how to eat healthier and how to make things from scratch.

So my goal for today is to go on my walk and then make vegan mayo before I write the new story for NaNoWriMo.
